If there were Wells of Inspiration…

Imagine a town where there are as many wells of inspiration as there are streets. Given this scenario, there would live a population, which will the most inspired breed among the fellow planet dwellers.

The people of the town will never face the shortage of inspiration. As and when they will consume the inspiration available in their homes, they will just run to the street well and have as much of it as they will require. The government of the town will also encourage this practice and keep the nearby area of each well neat and clean. It will protect the wells. There will be no tax on the inspiration being pumped out of the wells because the town is blessed with the unlimited source inspiration in the shape of wells. Also, due to 24-hour availability of inspiration, the people of the town will live the lives that will be “high on inspiration”. There will be numerous benefits of these inspiration wells.

Alas! Such a town does not exist. Rather, such a town can exist only in the imagination of a person. However, there is good news. The good news is that the wells of inspiration do exist.

Yes! It’s true. Wells of inspiration do exist.

They are located in every person’s… yes mind it… every person’s heart. You just have to locate them within yourself. Or, you can look for the wells of inspiration in the stories, books, blogs, real-life stories of your family and friends, or inside the religious books such as the Bible. However, all these sources, or the wells of inspiration, will indicate and inform you that there exists “an infinitely and abundantly resourceful well of inspiration within you”. It is just the matter that you locate it and use it. Once you will locate it within yourself and start using the unlimited source of inspiration, you will observe a sea change within you. Then you will not really bother that there is no such town where there are wells of inspiration at the corner of every street. Whenever you feel like, you will simply enter into the well of inspiration that you are a master of, and the unlimited quantity of inspiration will be available to you for the successful execution of the task you are dwelling upon.

How to locate your well of inspiration?

You will easily locate the well of your inspiration if you will remember the following:

  1. Know and tell yourself: You should tell yourself that you can self-inspire yourself and simultaneously, gradually though, reduce your dependence on the external sources [mentioned above] of inspiration.
  2. Note the moments when you are inspired: Just think about yourself, or just start noticing yourself. Try to answer the questions such as---when am I high on confidence; when am I low on confidence; what color, habit, situation, people, place, activity, etc. inspire me the most and what decrease the same. Once you will start reinforcing and conditioning your mind in this way, you will reach halfway to the well of your inspiration.
  3. Maintain an inspiration board: It could just be a simple wooden board or fiberboard wherein you can paste sticky notes or pin up the small chits. These should be the collection of the inspirational thoughts, which may initially be collected from the external sources of inspiration but will later comprise and display the self-made inspirational thoughts. This activity will finally present the inspirational thoughts or quotes, which you will own [something like a bucket of water that you raise from the well].

When all chits and pin-ups on the inspiration board will display your original thoughts on inspiration, you can assure yourself that you have successfully located the well of inspiration within you.

What next?

What do you do when you find the well, while at the same time you are thirsty? You start pumping the water from the well and drink it. In addition, you allow others to enjoy the water of this well. Similarly, when you successfully locate the well of inspiration within you, you self-inspire yourself. However, at the same time, do not forget to inspire others who really need some inspiration, i.e. share the fruits of you inspiration with others.
